Thulium Laser System

Description

Cyber TM represents a family of high-power thulium lasers (150W and 200W) designed for the treatment of prostate adenoma, as well as for other soft tissue surgeries in many other medical specialties. Its 2 µm radiation is strongly absorbed by water (present in all tissues) so that the cutting and vaporization rate is relatively constant during the procedure regardless of tissue vascularization. In addition, this wavelength results in an extremely reduced penetration depth (0.1-0.2 mm), effective tissue ablation, and efficient hemostasis.

Highest versatility

Adenoma enucleation and vaporization are available with the same device, with no limitations in the choice of technique.

The thulium enucleation technique is size-independent, customized with the ability to quickly switch from cutting to coagulation thanks to the double foot switch. On the other hand, thulium evaporation is a simple and intuitive procedure that avoids the use of a morcellator, using the maximum power of this device for faster treatment. Alternatively, the vaporisation technique can be effectively used to skip the morcellation phase.

Cyber TM represents the thulium surgical laser with the highest output power on the market: 200 W.

This radiation power combined with the 1000 µm fiber ensures the fastest vaporization of the adenoma due to powerful ablation over very large areas.

Impact on tissues and hemostasis

The 2 µm radiation is strongly absorbed by water, which leads to a minimal penetration depth (0.1-0.2 mm), without changing the tissue layers behind the surface (side view of the tissue after 24 hours of evaporation). This interaction leads to a precise cut and ablation, providing the surgeon with a high degree of control and significantly reducing the risk of accidental injury. The thulium wavelength increases hemostatic efficiency already during cutting.
